Advanced Moisture Management

One of the most critical factors in animal bedding is moisture content (MC). Our shavings undergo a controlled drying process to reach an optimal moisture level (typically between 8% and 12%).

• Low Moisture: Prevents the growth of mold, fungi, and bacteria.

• High Absorbency: Low-MC wood acts like a sponge, drawing in liquid waste instantly. This keeps the surface dry and significantly reduces the formation of ammonia, which is crucial for preventing respiratory irritation and hoof/footpad diseases.

Dust Extraction & Air Quality

2. CoopFresh Fine (Fine Cut)

Designed for Poultry, Chickens, and High-Turnover Bedding.

A precision-cut, smaller flake designed for high-density environments where hygiene is the top priority.

• Total Coverage: The smaller particles interlock to create a seamless carpet over the floor, ensuring no bare spots where moisture can pool.

• Enhanced Dehydration: Specifically tailored to deal with poultry droppings; the increased surface-to-volume ratio of the fine cut accelerates the drying of waste, neutralizing odors before they become a problem.

• Footpad Health: The soft, fine texture prevents “bumblefoot” and other lesions by providing a consistent, non-abrasive surface for birds to walk and scratch on.
